Happy October Minions!!

What is there not to love about this most awesome of months.

Not only is it my wedding anniversary, but with the month of October comes cooler weather – usually just about right for hoodies, thin sweaters, some cool neck scarves, warm booties, leggings ….

As the seasons change – so do the colors of foliage around the country which paint amazingly brilliant landscape creations.

Some critters begin a journey to warmer climates – but we know they will be back. Others begin to emerge a bit more often in search of winter groceries for their pantries.

Colors of birds seem more vibrant against the background of darkening browns and pale greens. And they are starting to fluff up for the impending winter – so they seem a bit fatter!

It’s a nice time for cozy fires to help take off the chill – as well as curl up with fuzzy fleece blankets and cups of apple cider or hot chocolate.

Halloween

It rings in the thinning of the veil between our world and the realm of those passed. We are more able to communicate with spirits of ancestors and things of a darker nature. The Celts, as well as many Native American and South American cultures use this time for divination, fortune telling, and overall enhanced communication with the spirit world. Did you know that many Halloween origins actually began with the Celts? The Druids celebrated this time of year over 2,000 years ago. It was often a time to celebrate and feast – the wheel of the year was turning, harvests were concluding, celebrations to remember the Dead.  In fact, the Druids were said to have constructed enormous bonfires in order to offer sacrifices to the numerous (well over 500) Celtic deities.

The month builds to a crescendo that culminates on the last eve of the month – Samhain, Halloween, All Hallow’s Eve, Allhallowe’en, All Saint’s Eve – just to name a few. It’s observed by Western Christians, and most non-Christians, around the world! It’s the first day of Allhallowtide which is a three day celebration which includes All Hallow’s Eve, All Saint’s Day on November 1 and All Soul’s Day on November 2.

Well, whatever your beliefs, your culture, your preferences…. All should enjoy this time of year! Be thankful of the blessings that were bestowed up you and yours during the previous months – and don’t forget to honor your ancestors.

Enjoy, my lovelies – the best time of year is upon us!

September is an important month.

It is a wonderful harvest month –

It draws summer to a close –

It gives us the first official days of Autumn –

It is the month preceding October (only the greatest month, ever!) –

And, most notably, the Full Moon in September 2015 is quite special. This month’s Blood Moon, which is also known as a Lunar eclipse, is the final moon in what is known as a tetrad – or the culmination of four eclipses and is said to foreshadow prophesies for several religions.

(Amazing artwork found at CatsEyeStudio on Etsy! https://www.etsy.com/listing/186373168/blood-moon-photo-surreal-full-moon-art?ref=market)

Cat's Eye Studio Moon

These Blood Moon Prophesies originated in the Book of Joel in the Hebrew Bible. There it is written that

‘the sun will turn into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.’

This phrase is also stated during Pentecost by Saint Peter, and is referenced in the Book of Revelation Chapter 6 Verses 11-13. Verse 12 says, ‘And I behold when he had opened the sixth seal and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood’

Many feel that this is an omen of the coming of the end of times.

I do not always follow the lunar phases – as I have found ways around the mundane waiting a week here or week there – just to work some magick! *wink* – there are ways around this… more about that at a later time! But, I do enjoy a powerful Full Moon – especially one that could be a harbinger for the end of days!

So, for this reason, I am offering a special on my magickal mix called Ghost Water!

Miss Sha's Ghost Water!

Miss Sha’s Ghost Water!

Miss Sha’s Ghost Water is perfect for use with séances and medium work, speaking to ancestors or honoring them, banishment and repelling of negative energies, breaking harmful habits – just to name a few.

But, of course, it can also be used for more nefarious purposes as well. Have a neighbor you really want to get rid of? Need to sever a connection with a person in your life?

I have put a lot of time and energy into working out all the kinks to this formulary recipe. It is both time and trial tested – with amazing results! I have several contacts among the spirit world and the Dead that assist with the entire process.

For this foreboding Moon, I have a special swampy, forgotten cemetery in mind – and it’s sure to please! I will gather up the water and relinquish it to a few cutely decorated, yet adorably creepy little bottles and will have it ready for your personal use by October 1! Just in time to contact lost loves, family members that have passed, or just to get in touch with your macabre side.

I will also be including quartz crystals – hand mined by me – as an amplifier for the qualities of the Ghost Water!~

Bottles will be chosen at random, corked & wax-sealed for transport. They will also be prayed over upon my own personal working altar – prior to shipping to their new homes!

Last year, I did this for clients, and was sold out rather quickly. This year, I will be adding a few extra bottles, but will be a limited supply. If  you are interested in purchasing one of these bottles of Ghost Water, please let me know ASAP. No payment required until your bottle is ready.

First come, first serve!!

Please email me at: inexplicablethings@yahoo.com or visit my website at InexplicableThings.com!

If you have a particular matter in mind for your Ghost Water – let me know and I will make sure my prayer energies are directed towards your needs. If you have a particular ribbon color you wish – let me know that, as well. I will also email photos of the entire process, so you know how your bottle is progressing!

$13 bottles (plus shipping) of Blood Moon Ghost Water – hand crafted and conjured by a Swamp Witch in the back bayous of Louisiana! Perfect!

And please note – these will NOT be the tiny little faery bottles you see on Etsy and Ebay – these are at the very least, 3 oz or larger.

Hello People of the Page!

First, let me apologize for the delay in writing. After the lengthy weekend in Corpus Christi, I have been battling with the time change most of this week. It always takes me a bit to get used to it – I know it’s mind over matter, but still!

The weekend with Kelly was amazing. The evening of our anniversary, we were in Rockport, TX – right on the Gulf. We ate at a quaint little place called The Boiling Pot – that serves pretty much nothing but crab boils. Our favorite! Delicious, not expensive at all, and that atmosphere was great.

After dinner, we took a quick walk down to the pier and watched the “false” sunset that often appears out over the water – the colors were bold and beautiful – pinks, blues, purples, and greys… and I finally had pelicans in my view again. (Pelicans happen to be my favorite birds!)  Looking down in to the water, I was able to see a large school(?) of jelly fish! This was another first for me. I will try to add some photos later on – they are on my phone.

We wound up driving to Mustang Island State Park which is part of the chain of islands that creates the barrier for Corpus Christi. The weather was beautiful – clear skies the first night with about a half moon. We walked along the beach in our bare feet, chased tiny crabs, squawked at the gulls and built a little fire. It was perfect.

The following morning, I grabbed the camera and walked the few feet to the water. First discovery was a small child’s flip flop that had seen some wear. I took a few photos – thinking it would be an interesting subject. I also snapped a few photos of the waves as they crashed in the early morning light. The Gulf of Mexico is my favorite body of water.

Later Saturday, we visited the Dia de Los Muertos festival in Corpus. Sadly, it was quite disappointing. Kelly and I believe that festivals that are originally for honoring someone or something should remain so. This festival… was all about commercialization. It was about making the almighty dollar – as a vendor. It had absolutely NOTHING to do with honoring the heritage, the ancestors, anyone that came before. We were sadly disappointed. We did people watch for a bit – but if you travel to Corpus expecting to witness an authentic Dia de Los Muertos gathering, don’t bother. There are numerous other areas you can visit – or better yet, stay home and honor the tradition in your own way.

The highlight were the masks and this cute skeleton that was set out.

MasksSkeleton Flamingo

We spent one more night on the beach – where we nearly froze our butts off. The temperature dropped that night to somewhere in the low 40’s – the winds gusted in off the water around 25 – 30 mph and blew sand in our face most of the night. Sometime before midnight, we made the decision to jump in the cab of the pickup and wait out the night. Always an adventure with us!

All in all – it was an amazing weekend. I am happy, thankful and proud to be Kelly’s wife. I found a quote by Mark Twain that I would like to leave you with. He said,

“Love seems the swiftest, but it is the slowest of all growths. No man or woman really knows what perfect love is until they have been married a quarter of a century.”

Kelly and I are 1/5th of the way there! ❤

Dia-de-los-Muertos-2012-2013-7Kelly and I will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary tomorrow – 10/31 –

This is truly a special day for us.

As a little anniversary getaway, we are leaving in the morning for 2 fun filled days in Corpus Christi, Texas. We are going to camp out at Mustang Island – on the beach with an awesome camp fire! With the moon waxing, we will be doing a bit of work, both for ourselves, as well as continued health and prosperity for friends and family. This will also be a unique photography opportunity for me to work on beach and night shooting.

Saturday, we will be attending the Dia de Los Muertos festival in Corpus.  You should check out their facebook page: Corpus Christi Dia de los Muertos Festival! And if, by chance, you intend to be there – hunt us down!!
